Loyal fans of the actress are calling for that a man who jumped a barricade and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Record of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile includes clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Well-being

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further message on Instagram.

A number of fans also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others called for online networks to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected bond between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and received 10 Academy Award nods, winning two for best costume and production design.
